Expedited review is a procedure through which certain research projects can be reviewed without being presented at a convened IRB (Institutional Review Board) meeting. Expedited review may not necessarily be faster than full board review. Please allow a minimum of 10 business days for issues raised/approval to be communicated to the research team. Please answer the questions that follow to determine if your study is a candidate.
Do any of the risks to which the participants in this study will be exposed (including medical, physical, psychological, emotional, social, and financial risks) have a greater probability and/or magnitude of harm or discomfort than those ordinarily encountered in daily life or during the performance of routine physical examinations or tests (i.e., is your study more than minimal risk)?
